A Game of Thrones is one of the most successful television series to ever made and continues to captivate audiences all over the world. The series is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and interweaves several plot lines with a large ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm’s deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North. 1. Q&A: (I know it's late, my ? Just came to me) Hey Preston, do you think the Iron Bank will try to play both sides of the Queen's War? I mean smart money would play both sides to make sure they get their money either way, could we see an iron bank rep go to Dany too? We now know Cersei's deal but perhaps they will assume Cersei could lose eventually and so make a deal with team Dany.

  2. High-Garden's gate could've been opened from within, perhaps some 5th emoved Tarly cousin was stationed in High-Garden and opened the gate with some of his friends.

  3. Hey Preston, why would Mel call it a meeting of Ice and Fire? You can see how Danny could be fire she has dragons targs are notoriously resistance the flames and her house words are Fire and Blood. But Jon Snow even though he is the new King of the North isn't a king of winter he is the white wolf couldn't any Northern Noble that got elevated the king be considered ice? Because the only creatures we've seen definitely associated with eyes are the others

  4. 10:23 wait…when did Bran nearly skinchange into Meera?

  5. I thought Tyrells had nothing because their army died at the sea with the Dornish

  6. first comment on youtube just fro the reworked sam and jorah scene! one hell of a way to do it!keep up the good work!

  7. R

prestons viewers are the best and they ask the best questions too.

  8. Preston I figure we haven't seen ghost since season 6 for the same reason D and D killed off Wun wun, they need to save money and CGI is expensive. But is he still just chilling up at Castle black?

  9. Wow, I actually agreed with just about everything Preston said in this Q&A. Didn't think the day would come, but this was all rather fair and even-handed. I'm dumbstruck, and rather pleased.

  10. New eps leaked, get on it boys. Hope prestons vid comes out before monday

  11. Q: Are u talking about ur theories or show content in some forum?

  12. my assumption is that it sounds really bad to tell people that we need band together to kill these undead dudes when you, yourself, are an undead dude

  13. The reason Jon is keeping his death a secret from everybody is because he's forgotten about it. The resurrection never registered with him apparently, or we would have noticed some change in his character in its aftermath.

  14. Def wasn't a weir wood at tower of joy down in dorn so the only weir wood eyes is out for book and show I agree

  15. Why didn't Bran look at Sansa with the eyes of the weirwood ? It would be cool and not so expensive.

  16. "Why didn't they…"

I love how D&D always get all the blame for any missed opportunity or weird handling of things. I'm certain a lot of things that we don't like about the show are brought about by HBO executives having their own demands as well. An insane producer can ruin a film just as much as a bad director or screenwriter can, no difference here. Not that I'm some fanboy of theirs, but if you're gonna hate, hate on the network too…I'm sure they play their part in bunging things up.

  17. I love how everyone is talking crap, yet the ratings are higher than ever, and all the episodes this season have overall unanimous praise. Must be why George is still a consultant on the show, giving d &d info from Winds of winter that he has already written.

  18. I know we can't really extrapolate from show to book, since the show is dumbing things down a lot, but show Jon seems to indicate that either Jon is himself or, at the very least (even if he's a puppet to some extent) he has some degree of autonomy. I say this due to his insistence to Mel that he doesn't want to be resurrected if he dies again. Let's look at the options:

    1) He's being controlled by Mel. Well, if that's the case, she needn't have him tell her this, so we can either rule out control by Mel or at the very least determine enough of Jon remains to withstand her control (but maybe she still has the power to shut him down). Also Jon's exile of Mel suggests she's not controlling him, although this could be explained away if she needed an excuse to leave, such as checking out Dany.
    2) He's being controlled by some third party (the "Lord of Light", whoever that may be in reality, some kind of BloodRaven analogue, maybe Quaithe?). Again his request to Mel is redundant. Maybe LoL only needs him for one specific task and doesn't need him to be resurrected after that – well in that case, just have Mel's resurrection fail next time. Mel already said she'll try again regardless of Jon's request.

  19. Hasn't the Tyrell army marched east on Kings Landing?

  20. Hey Preston, love your idea about Jeorah. Write your own stuff! If your writing skills are good I would love to read it.

  21. Anyone else think they are setting Ser Podric of the Length up for some more heroic acts?

"As the night king surveyed the army before him, his cold glowing eyes rested upon a knight under massive cockrel banner, Ser Pod of the Length had unsheathed the mighty Hoeslayer and was ready for battle"

  22. R.I.P

    Bad of house pussy

  23. yeah, i wondered why olenna didn't just carry the poison herself.

  24. Man, I want that Jorah and Sam quarantine scene. SO MUCH POTENTIAL.

  25. The biggest question i have is about the novels – WHERE is book 6? Clearly GRR is done with it. He's moved on to other projects and is even working on another ASOIAF encyclopedia book. No matter what he says, BOOK 6 IS FINISHED. And the publisher, and GRR maybe, are just delaying it. If they want sales, i would think right now would be the best time to release it? GOT is #2 in the Neilsen TV ratings, which means its at the peak of its popularity… WHERE IS "WINDS OF WINTER"?

  26. Preston Jacobs greatest writer (that never wrote anything) of all time! Wow your soooooo smart!! What a fn joke you are.

  27. What was Olenna doing back at Highgarden all of a sudden anyway?

  28. Q: Do you think that Mess will later ask Dany for a ship back to Naarth, and then Dany will not be able let her go and Mess ends up betraying her that way?

  29. All hail the return of the Golden Theta!

  30. Theta sighting in the cave this is not a drill

  31. Preston Jacobs, did G.R.R.M. Have any story's where a protagonist best-friend sleeps with the protag little sister? It's for the books. When I look at dany I see ashara Dayne and rheagars daughter. Being Elias handmaiden, set author is his best friend, daenerys name, her eyes, ned going there after starfall (lyanna knew rheagar had another daughter), dayne being the last hero/sword of the morning/(azoh ahia) sword of light, (George is Blatant with his names, I think it helps him remember?) the Greeks and romans thoughts the stars were gods. So is starfall actually where a "god" came down to planetos or a representation of a god, meteor, fire falling out of the sky. I'm sure the daynes/sword of the morning is the original lightbringer and thinking of dany being descendant of that makes sense. Then jon is embodiment/off spring between the two sides of the Great War. It's almost as if fire feeds on the living (magic requires blood/sacrifice) and ice requires the dead never resting, both magics come a great price and rob people of their lives, whether it's being stolen of your living life or not being able to die and live in the afterlife.. idk, still workin that one out. But like "fire and blood" meaning "magic and sacrifice" I also have a different take on Danny's visions, the 3 mounts/tresons.. but that's a whole another post lol

  32. Order of the Stick!!  Awesome  🙂

  33. How did the puddle Jaime was charging through go from barely inches deep into suddenly so deep that Jaime is falling into uncertain depths??

  34. Firstly I have to agree with you…Dani's character has gone way of script. All she bangs on about is Jon kneeling and her obsession with being Queen. Jon was chosen to be King….she simply believes it her birthright or duty. Similarities with Stannis? Just the way she goes about it is soooo dam annoying….the more I watch her the more I dislike her.

  35. Jon is Schrödinger's wolf now. 😀
